Karen Shelton

Karen Shelton is the Controller for Pattillo, Brown & Hill, L.L.P. and has been with the firm since 2007. Karen interacts with a wide range of clientele from individual tax clients, small businesses to corporations, and oversees the firm’s Controller Office. She works closely with multiple departments throughout the firm by providing reporting and systems training to new employees. Her expertise includes technical knowledge that allows her to assist with procurement of and end-user operations of software. Karen serves alongside her colleagues to represent the firm at various functions such as the quarterly Women’s Financial Forum and is involved with volunteer opportunities at Baylor University, the City of Waco and her church. Through the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce LEAD program, Karen engages La Vega High School students as a mentor. The program introduces students to local businesses, with the goal to help motivate them to see potential employment possibilities available after graduation and further aspirations to pursue higher education.
