Pattillo, Brown & Hill is thrilled to introduce students to the ins and outs of public accounting each year!

We offer Spring and Fall internships that prepare you for your future profession. With our Tax department, you will learn how to prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates. In our Government Audit sector, we plunge you into excitement of auditing, exploring the world of corporate and governmental entities. Internships with PB&H provide you with much more than technical skills; it is here you will develop relationships with both clients and peers, network with our firm family, and meet community leaders. My internship at PBH was a huge kickstart in my career. Before my internship, I had no idea what path in accounting I wanted to take. Internships and Temporary Positions

Each intern will garner experience in auditing and auditing related services, compliance, credit reviews, internal control evaluations and related services. Workload is dependent on individual skills, desires, and experience. Ability and willingness to travel is absolutely necessary to understand the bigger picture of our accounting world! Some experience is preferred, but not required for consideration. Promotion to leadership opportunities open for individuals with excellent skills and work habits displayed during their time with us.
Requirements:
  • In the process of taking College Level Accounting Courses
  • Ability to work 40 + hours per week for 4 to 12 weeks beginning in January (time frame will be based on applicants commitment along with current workload) for Spring sessions and August for Fall sessions.
  • Position does not require relocation to Waco
Individual will perform auditing and auditing related services or compliance, credit reviews, internal control evaluations and related services depending on individual skills, desires, and experience. Ability and willingness to travel is absolutely necessary. Experience preferred, but not required for consideration. Promotion to leadership opportunities open for individuals with the proper skills and work habits.

Tax Internship

Job description:

Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP is looking to add high-performing individuals to our internship team! Candidates will explore different aspects of tax accounting-related services, such as state & federal return preparation, client interaction, compliance, and more!

 

Starting 2/3/2025- 4/21/2025

 

Requirements:

  • In the process of taking college-level accounting courses.
  • Ability to work 30+ hours per week for 4 to 12 weeks beginning in February (time frame will be based on applicant’s commitment along with current workload)

Audit Internship

Job description:

Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP is seeking individuals to perform auditing and auditing-related services, compliance, credit reviews, internal control evaluations, and related services. Applicants will perform various audit tasks such as internal control walk-throughs, analytics, and substantive testing, all under the supervision of a manager. Ability to travel preferred.

 

Starting 9/4/2024- 3/30/2025

 

Requirements:

  • In the process of taking college-level accounting courses.
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week for 4 to 12 weeks beginning in September (timing will be based on applicant’s commitment along with current workload)
